Ernesto Alejándro Batista was the first human personification of la República de Cuba. Unfortunately, his stay in Liberty was short lived as the mun found herself too busy to handle two characters at the time. However, a second version of Cuba arrived in the winter of 2010 by the name of Alejándro Ezequiel Rodríguez.
Background[]
Before Liberty:[]
Ernesto was born on the western part of Cuba in Pinar del Río.
His upbringing in Cuba was rather humble, at best. His father worked as a tobacco farmer while his mother stayed at home to care for Ernesto and his four older siblings. However, over time, his parents made the fateful decision to leave the island nation and move the family to the United States sometime before the Maleconazo Uprising of 1994. The family was able to make it to Miami, Florida without too much difficulty due to the migration agreement made between the United States and Cuba.
Ernesto's stay in Miami, however, was rather different in comparison to his childhood years in Cuba. While he didn't exactly live in the slums, the neighborhood Ernesto grew up in was anything but inviting. His three-bedroom home was often forced to hold more than just his immediate family. Rather, various family members who had, at the time, recently left Cuba would often stay with his family until they managed to to efficiently support themselves.
